Mazda's 2014 Mazda6

Mazda’s 2014 Mazda6

Should you go with the Mazda 3 or Mazda 6? At Chapman Mazda, we will help you uncover important differences so that you can make an informed decision. Even though they look very similar at first glance it is important to keep in mind that they offer different standard features, levels of performance and efficiency.

One important difference is manufacture location. The Mazda 3 is imported from Japan (Hiroshima) and the Mazda 6 is made in Flat Rock, Michigan. The Mazda 6 is heavier than the Mazda 3. The Mazda 6 also has better safety features such as passenger air bags and side and side-curtain airbags. Air conditioning is standard on the Mazda 6 but not on the Mazda 3.

In terms of power and fuel economy, both Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 utilize standard engines powered by SkyActive technology, which provides power and great fuel economy.

Mazda's 2014 Mazda3

Mazda’s 2014 Mazda3

The 2014 Mazda 3 is powered by a 2.0 liter I-4 engine that provides 150 horsepower and 150 pound-foot of torque. The standard 6-speed manual transmission on the Mazda 3 gets 29 mpg city and 41 mpg highway.

The 2014 Mazda 6 has a 2.5 litre I-4 engine that outputs 184 horsepower and 185 pound-foot of torque. The standard Mazda 6 automatic transmission gets 25 mpg city and 37 mpg highway.

By simple comparison, the 2014 Mazda 3 is much more fuel-efficient while the Mazda 6 is much more powerful. This difference is mainly due to the difference in the standard size of their respective engines.

The interior of the 2014 Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 are similarly equipped with intuitive, user-friendly navigation systems. The Mazda 6 provides better options for a connected entertainment interior with the Bluetooth connectivity being standard on this model. Rearview cameras are also standard on the Mazda 6. Since the Mazda 6 is classified as a mid-size car, it has more interior room compared to the Mazda 3.

Other notable differences between the Mazda 6 and Mazda 3 include an automatic climate control feature, which is available on the Mazda 6 but not on the Mazda 3. The Mazda 6 had music control and cruise control buttons on the steering, while the Mazda 3 does not.

Since the Mazda 6 has features that are more standard and a bigger engine for better performance, you will expect to pay more and the MSRP is $20,990 for the 2014 model. The 2014 Mazda 3 with better fuel efficiency has a MSRP of $15,945.

You can drive the all-new 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata before it hits the roads! Well if you are a Forza Horizon 2 player, you will get the chance to drive it on the Xbox one, months before the physical car goes on sale. You can begin your driving experience on March 17th. But it gets even better! Players will have the chance to win the real 2016 Mazda MX-5 by competing in a Time Trial Rivals Contest, which continues until April 30th.

If you want a chance to win the free MX-5 you will have to race around the Sisteron Perimeter Sprint Circuit. The drivers with the two fastest times will take part in a winner-take-all race in Los Angeles (which they will be flown out to). The winner will drive home a new Mazda MX-5!

The MX-5 is only one of the 4 cars Xbox players will be able to drive beginning on March 17th. The other 3 cars Forza players will get to drive are the 2010 MX-5 Super20 SEMA concept car, the original 1990 MX-5 and 2005 MAZDASPEED MX-5.

To download any of these car games, log into Xbox Live on Xbox One. You will find the car pack on the Mazda landing page.

Forza Horizon 2 players will get to experience the interior and exterior of the MX-5 in spectacular detail. Players will also experience the stunning graphics of the game’s wide-open roads and the option to choose between various driving conditions such as from day to night, and different climate settings.

What about the real MX-5? The vehicle just celebrated its 25th anniversary but it won’t be available until later this year. However you can expect a car that is around 150 lbs lighter than the 3rd generation MX-5, weighing in at 2,332 lbs for the manual transmission and 2,381 lbs with the automatic transmission. Even the smallest components were lightened and strengthened to produce outstanding performance. It is no wonder that the Mazda MX-5 is the world’s bestselling two-seat roadster.

The new 2016 model is the most advanced and computerized car so far, even while still being a throwback to exactly what made the initial 1990 version so unique. The latest model is almost as light, but with a power-to-weight ratio greater than that of its earlier model.

Promises to Continue History of Driving Pleasure

Production of the all-new Mazda MX-5, known as the Miata in the United States, has begun in Japan with the promise of delivering greater safety and environmental efficiency without cutting down on the fun factor. The new version of the sporty convertible will go on sale in Japan beginning in June, with a U.S. rollout yet to be announced. Stay in touch with Chapman Mazda for the release date of the new Miata.

Miata Design Not Buckling to Trends

As fuel efficiency makes larger vehicles affordable to drive, it’s nice to know that the designers at Mazda have not caved in to the trends. One of the reasons that people enjoy the Mazda MX-5 Miata is that it resembles the coolest toy on the block. Just big enough for two people who want to go with the wind in their hair, the new Miata is actually a little smaller on the outside than its predecessor. The fourth-generation Miata has a lower profile and is a bit shorter, but an ingenious design provides more leg and headroom. That’s a bonus for anyone over 6 feet tall who previously had to drive with the top down.

Little Engine Plenty for Little Car

Because of the Miata’s lightweight and snappy shifter, the 155 horsepower, direct injection 4-cylinder engine provides plenty of pep for city or highway driving. The Miata’s shifter has short, racecar throws that make every takeoff a chance for adventure. Although you won’t win many drag races, the 0-60 mile per hour time of 6.5 seconds is plenty thrilling for the average driver.

Aluminum Body Keeps Weight Down

The new Miata is estimated to weigh 2332 pounds, about the same as the 1990 version, which had far fewer bells and whistles. Extensive use of aluminum in the chassis, fenders, convertible supports and rear bulkhead help keep the weight down and the fun quotient up. Stay connected with Chapman Mazda for your chance to drive a new Miata and see how much fun you can have without breaking the bank.

“Test Drive” the Car on XBox One

For those who want an early chance to take the new Mazda MX-5 Miata for a spin, Xbox One has a new video game that features the sporty convertible. “Forza Horizon 2” offers the Miata as a free download. You can challenge more expensive racecars on harrowing courses around the world without worrying about body damage or fuel costs.

Mazda got a great gift just after celebrating its 95th birthday; they reported a huge jump in sales in January of 2015. From new cars at Chapman Mazda to pre owned cars in Portsmouth New Hampshire, Mazda sales in January jumped by 7.7% over the previous year, having sold 20,271 vehicles.

New 2015 Mazda CX5

The 2015 Mazda CX-5 is currently in its third year of manufacture and is still climbing the sales charts. It is fast turning into one of the SUVs available with the most reviews.

The Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V still rule in regard to the volume of sales. However, they are no match for the CX-5’s sporty management or instrument panel, which is spotless and neat. The Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V cannot compete with CX-5’s remarkable highway fuel saving of 35 miles for each gallon either. The Mazda CX-5 is also among the few crossovers that still provide the choice of a manual transmission.

Innovative and Exciting features of 2015 Mazda CX-5

• Mazda has a great advanced feature for keyless entry, now standard on the Grand Touring and Touring trims.
