KBB Likes Mazda3 and CX-3

Noted consumer website KBB.com has chosen two Mazdas to their “10 Best Back-to-School” vehicle list. Judging in a number of categories that included style, affordability, practicality and safety, the reviewers at Kelley Blue Book were consistent in their love for the two vehicles. The Mazda3 was named to KBB.com’s “10 Coolest Cars Under $18,000 for 2016”. The CX-3 was also honored to the same list, except for cars under $25,000. KBB.com also utilized comments from consumers when making their selections. The CX-3 received a 10 out of 10 consumer rating, with buyers loving the “5 star design” along with “driving dynamics, interior and exterior appearance.” The Mazda3 scored an 8.8 in its consumer rating. Mazda 3 ‘Both Fun and Fuel-efficient’

The editors at KBB.com say the 2016 Mazda3 is “both fun and fuel-efficient thanks to Mazda’s SKYACTIV chassis and powertrain technology.” SKYACTIV is Mazda’s way of integrating all the components to make the most efficient and powerful vehicle possible. This makes the Mazda3 an incredibly fun car to drive while still getting an impressive 33 mpg in combined city and highway driving. Editors said they liked the position of the seat and steering wheel, which creates an ergonomic, comfortable experience when taking the compact car on long drives. Especially attractive is a blind spot monitoring system that warns the driver when another car is lurking in a hidden area.

CX-3 Puts ‘Sport’ in Sport Utility Vehicle

The ability of the compact SUV CX-3 to “carve through corners and slice through traffic” is one of the reason the editors at KBB.com put it at the top of their “fun-to-drive” list. They lauded the CX-3’s “stiff body structure, precise steering and a real multi-gear automatic transmission.” They compare the CX-3 to the much more expensive Mercedes GLA. The efficient 2L engine not only provides a combined 31 mpg, but its ability to maintain torque through the RPM spectrum is a major part of the fun factor, especially on a weekend run through a curvy mountain road. The CX-3 comes with standard features not even offered on some competitors, such as push-button start and Bluetooth audio connectivity. Make sure you put the CX-3 on your list for inspection when you head to your Phoenix Mazda dealer.
